Energize your future! Experience the thrill and satisfaction of re-wiring a house. Use and maintain tools and accessories used by professionals in the electrical industry. Read, interpret electric codes, and solve problems using critical thinking skills, creativity, and innovation. Demonstrate DC and AC electrical-circuit skills. This program prepares students for National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification.

Students in the Electricity program will learn the correct procedures for installing wiring to conduct electricity to lights, appliances, and machines in residential and commercial buildings. Students will become familiar with blueprint reading, electrical theory, code requirements, circuit calculations, and basic photovoltaic (solar) power systems.

Program content includes AC & DC circuits, AC theory and solid state devices, residential and commercial wiring, wiring transformers, motors, controls for operation, blueprints and plan symbols, control circuits, tools, materials, methods, employability skills and entrepreneurship.
