Technology Support Services

Learn about the latest trends in technology in FMTC's Technology Support Services program. Explore the Cloud, Satellite, Mobile/Handheld, Bluetooth, Personal Area Network (PAN), Malware, Security, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), and the Internet of Things (IoT). Students develop research and presentation skills as they configure devices, manage Internet protocols, and implement security on hand-held and network equipment. This program provides skills needed to prepare for further education and/or entry-level careers in the information technology field.

The U.S. Department of Labor* lists Technology Support Services as having a ‘faster than average’ job outlook through the year 2022. More support services will be needed as organizations upgrade their computer equipment and software.

Steps to Enroll

  1. Attend an Information Session (Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. [when school is in session])
  2. Meet with a counselor
  3. Take the TABE test, if applicable
  4. Obtain official transcripts, if applicable (high school, GED, college, etc.)
  5. Apply for financial aid (official transcripts required)
  6. Provide appropriate residency documents
  7. Complete application packet with counselor
  8. Pay application fee
